Adulting

I said i would write every day Its hard to think of things to say I was not inspired today I called my new blog Now We are 30something because of the age I am now I'm 30something. I'm and adult. I don't really want to be. I have obligations and commitments and I'm not really sure when i signed up for them officially. I knew there was a time when I wanted them and now there is a time that I have them, but I am not sure there was an an actual acceptance. It's like when you skip that screen where you just hit Accept with out really reading what you have agreed to. Now we have to deal with things like work and bills and appointments and health and other responsibilities that you could ignore or depend on parents or guardians to look after for you  or remind you about. Now if you ignore them, or don't take care of them the consequences are much more serious and all fall on you. This is not fun. People warn you about not growing up too fas...

In defense of the Letter K.

I'm going to start out by saying that in 2018 I want to do way less arguing. I have been know to be a person who likes a good debate. Some may even have called me argumentative. A contrarian of sorts. Devil's advocate they might have said. I just enjoy conversation. There however comes a point in conversations where you have to agree to disagree. Where both sides have said their piece and there is not right or wrong (or at the very least the other side is to stubborn or too stupid or ignorant to know they are wrong) to come to any understanding and any further discussion is just talking in circles.  My aim is always just to be understood. For my point(s) to be made clearly, to be addresses and and if any counterpoint presented, I be allowed to rebuttal if I feel the need to. Sometimes however, you just got to call BS, BS, reiterate what you said, why you said it keep it pushing. There are also somethings I just do not feel the need to argue or debate about....

List of Things I Want To-do Everyday in 2018

The following is a list of thing that I want (and as I started to make the list realized I needed) to do on a daily basis to be a good functioning adult. I do not really enjoy adulting. I have realized that in order to adult accurately I actually have to schedule many activities most people find to be mundane, routine or common place, and if i do not schedule them or make them part of a system, I will not do them. (Why this is is deeper than we have time to go into right now and more than I am willing to share with you without paying you a fee or requiring you to take me to dinner first but lets just say it runs pretty deep). So as we move into 2018, and as I look to become the best version of me, here is a list of things I will try to do every day because they are good for me in some way shape or form. 1. Pray and/or reflect - I will make sure I start and end each talking to God and myself about the things we need to talk about. 2. Read - my Bible and my Book clubs (reach o...
